The people behind Cortad

We're Mohammad and Connor. We've been building things together since we were teenagers, and we've never really stopped. Cortad is the one we care about most.

Our story

Two roads that kept meeting.

It started when we were teenagers. The ideas changed shape many times over the years. The partnership never did.

Mohammad's road

The builder

Mohammad stayed close to the code. He sold his first company at 19 and went on to lead AI at one of the region's biggest education companies, where he watches real students use what he builds every day.

That taught him what an AI app goes through once real people start talking to it. Today he writes most of Cortad's code, and he's happiest deep inside a hard problem.

Connor's road

Out to sea

Connor took a different road, out to sea. He started as a floorhand at Transocean and is now a roughneck at Seadrill. Since 2023, his wages have kept our ventures going.

He runs growth, product and go-to-market, often from the middle of the ocean, and works on Cortad between shifts. Life on the rig floor gave him the idea for Cortad, and the patience to build it.

2026

Along the way we ran a small research lab, taking AI models apart to see how they really work. In 2026 our roads met again, and everything we'd learned came together as Cortad.

Nothing goes downhole until it's been pressure-tested.

That's the rule on every rig Connor has worked on. Before anything goes into the well, it's tested under pressure, because a problem found on deck is easy to fix and one found a mile down is not.

We kept noticing that AI apps ship without a test like that. So we built one. Cortad is our pressure test for AI, and it's the same care we'd want for anything we put in front of real people.

Say hello.

We'd love to hear what you're building, and we read every message ourselves.
